
PARKING SERVICES SPRING 2012
Parking Services' hours of operation are Monday through Friday
7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Spring 2012 stickers and temporary permits may be purchased as of December 12, 2011 at the Parking Services Office, 2507 W. Michigan Avenue. Full-time stickers valid through 8/31/2012 are $300 and semester only permits are $180. Stickers and permits may also be purchased at the Bernhard Center One Stop Convenience Center during the following dates and times.
January 5-January 6, 2012, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
January 9-January 11, 2012, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Tickets will not be issued in student lots from December 17, 2011 through January 15, 2012, unless vehicles are illegally parked. All vehicles must be parked within a marked space.
- As of January 16, 2012, vehicles parked in student lots without valid permits will be ticketed.
- Daily permits may be purchased for $5; Weekly permits may be purchased for $15. If the Parking Services is closed, daily and weekly permits may be purchased at the WMU Police Station at 511 Monroe Street.
- Parking permits must be paid by cash, check, or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, and Discover). Permits may not be billed to students accounts. All open tickets must be paid before permits can be purchased and obtained.
- A WMU Bronco ID, driver’s license, and current vehicle registration are needed to complete the vehicle registration process to obtain a permit.
- Students and staff who have a valid state issued handicap permit are also required to have a current WMU permit to park on campus.
- Miller Parking Ramp/Lot 35: All meters are for the exclusive use of visitors. WMU students may not park at the meters.
- Part time faculty, temporary employees, graduate assistants and new employees must bring a Bronco ID card, driver’s license, vehicle registration and the departmental appointment letter or staff transaction form to obtain a parking permit.
- Faculty and staff are reminded parking permits (hang tags and stickers) issued to them are for their personal use only, and are not to be used by family members or others. Violations may result in fines, loss of parking privileges and impounding the vehicle.
